What is the Mastery Club and How Does it Work?

What is the Mastery Club?
The Mastery Club was started by fellow teacher Heather Renz. It was created for students who want to go above and beyond the classroom requirements. Thanks to her generosity and creativity, over 2,300 classes across the United States and around the world in grades one through six participate in the Mastery Club. I am Mrs. Mastriana, a fourth grade teacher who, along with my Wolf Hill colleagues are proud and excited to bring the program to Oceanport.

Please see a link to the original Mastery Club below.

How it Works
Students must memorize the Mastery Club challenge of their choice. There are 86 different challenges to choose from in many different areas of interest. Be sure to scroll down to see all of your options. Students are encouraged to create and use notes to study from and to quiz each other but notes cannot be used on the actual "test." When a student is ready to be tested, they make an appointment before or after school, during lunch, recess, or other agreed upon time. Students tell their answers aloud, write answers on scratch paper, or fill in a quiz based on the challenge. Their results are then recorded. The student either passes or not. If they do not pass they can try again the next school day.

When you get a challenge correct you become a 1 star member. When you reach 16 stars you enter the Hall of Fame and your name will be added to the Mastery Club Hall Of Fame where it will remain for my teaching career!
